Floor Preparation
The substrate and its quality play a critical role for the end result. Careful inspection in relation to the requirements for the operations that are crucial for substrate preparation that need to be conducted to create optimal prerequisites for the final characteristics of the floor system.
We at Fastrack have the knowledge and the experience require to make the correct assessment during our free of site surveys. Surface preparation should be carried out using enclosed shotblasting, scarification, grinding and any cracks or holes should be repaired.
Even new concrete substrates prior to the application of any resin finish will need to be prepared to ensure adhesion between the new resin system and the concrete substrate. All surfaces must be clean, dry, and lightly textured to guarantee maximum adhesion. All grease and oil contamination can be removed can by heavy duty degreasing detergents combined with an oil suppressant epoxy resin primer. All loose and poorly bonded paint must be removed by captive shotblast preparation.
