Joint Repairs
Floor Joints are in fact controlled cracks in the concrete slabs. They should be positioned to allow the fllor to move without restraining that movement.
The joint sealant should be rigid enough to provide support and protection to the concrete arises, but also flexible enough to accommodate any opening of the joint and still remain bonded to at least one face of the concrete slab.
Joints are often the greatest source of maintenance problems in industrial or warehouse floors. The edges or arises are vulnerable to damage and to spall under under impact from hard wheeled traffic.
Joint edge spalling will never improve with neglect…only get worse!
Fastrack can repair damaged joints quickly by using quick curing resin systems.
- The damaged concrete is removed by saw cutting and breaking out.
- Quick curing resin screeds are used to repair the joint arises and the joint sealant re-installed
This method is used for filling construction joints, expansion joints and cracks. It is a pourable, flexible joint sealant for filling and sealing moving and non-moving joints in concrete floors up to 25mm wide.
