Winder Electrical Power Ltd, based in Pudsey, Leeds are specialists in the design, test, build, deployment & management of power systems including power transformers,distribution transformers and switchgear.

Winder had a lrage area of sveral thousand Sq Metres requiring an economic hard-wearing coloured floor finish which would brighten up their new industrial unit.

The client required different colours to identify specific working areas and gangways. The floor was firstly prepared by vacuum enclosed shot blasting. Fastrack Flooring then applied 2 coats of Resin Surfaces Ltd's epoxy resin high build coating 'Resucoat HB' which provided a superb and durable finish and transformed the appearance of the original concrete substrate.

Floor Preparation - The floor at Winder was prepared to remove any surface contamination. This was achieved by the use of a dust extraction vacuum assisted STR machine and vacuum assisted steel ball jetting method (Blastrac), using a light medium shot to create a sandpaper like surface to create a profile finish ready for the resin coating.

Resin Coating - A first coat of water-based resin coating was applied to seal the concrete floor. This was then followed by a second coat of High Build Epoxy to achieve the required gloss finish

Walkways/Gangways - A series of gangways were marked out and coated to identify a safe walkway for employees to reach their work stations
