Anti Static Flooring
We will be familiar with the effects of the build up of static electricity. On some days we have all experienced unpleasant shocks from touching car door handles. The same effects are responsible for the adhesion of dust on still surfaces.
Under normal circumstances these effects are at most, slightly unpleasant but not particularly dangerous. However in the industrial environment these electrostatic build ups can cause sparks and subsequently can cause dust explosions, igniting of flammable gases or disrupt sensitive electronic equipment.
Typical examples are generally: Electronic assembly, computers, magnetic tape production, semi-conductor production of integrated circuits, CD or DVD players, optical lenses, photographic film, antibiotic production, pharmaceutical manufacture, sterile disposables, medical devices, food and drink production and clean rooms. Laboratories, Hospitals - operating theatres, rooms containing electronic equipment, Chemical Plants, Painting booths and texture mills.
The formulation comprises of a unique blend of conductive fillers blended with selected epoxy resin components and pigments to provide an attractive and decorative finish. Static grades of resin flooring are available in coatings, self smoothing and trowel applied screeds. The finish is seamless and is resistant to impact abrasion and chemicals.
